Răspuns: Written exams are a good way to evaluate the level of someone after a period. Exams have been used over the centuries in this way, are they too getting old maybe? Should they be changed with some other type of assessment? Not really.
Teachers are trying nowadays to find the best assessment possible in favour of the pupil. Some think that it is a old method and the oral questions may be better, some think that it let's the exam-takers think better and be more careful to te questions.
The former, just like muscles, that need a period of rest to get bigger and stronger, you need a period of resting too, so that your mind stores deep all the information you've learned.
In this case, if you're taking too many exams too often, your grades won't be very good, because as I said, the information needs time to stick into your brain.
The latter, more and more pupils tend to be depressed or anxious before or after taking exams, or even when they think about them...Why? Because of the grades. They start thinking that the number represents his level- and when a bad grade strikes- the magic comes. This is the reason why many quit written exams.
I think that written exams are a very good way to evaluate the information you learnt, but taking them too often can led to personality problems such as inferiority complexes.
