Thanksgiving
All over the globe many people thank God for a rich harvest. The American people celebrate thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November ; it became a national holiday after the US became an independent country.
Schools, businesses and most government offices are closed. It’s a four day weekend and family and friends get together for a special meal. They cook roast turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and vegetables; they enjoy watching parades and football matches on tv.
Everyone should give thanks for what they have, especially on Thanksgiving day!
