Sorry I _haven't written_ to you recently – the thing is, I _was_ really busy in June and July !

Anyway, I’ve got news for you. Two great things __have happened__  to me.

So, my first big news is that last week I _went_  to a party at my friend’s

house and I __met__ a really nice girl called Joanna. We  _talked_ the whole evening and we _got_ on  together really well.
