The primary mode of infection in humans is human-to-human transmission, which generally occurs through drops of respiratory secretions from infected people that are expelled through sneezing, coughing, or exhalation .The virus generally has an incubation period of 2 to 14 days , with an average of 3 days, although cases with an incubation period of up to 24 days have been reported . Transmission can be limited by hand washing, hygiene and wearing surgical masks. The disease may initially be asymptomatic or have symptoms, and may later develop fever, cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches and fatigue , followed by pneumonia, acute respiratory syndrome and death. There are no vaccines or effective treatments, and efforts are usually limited to relieving symptoms and supportive measures . Anyone who claims to be a carrier of the virus is advised to wear a surgical face and seek medical advice by telephone instead of a person or clinic visit.
